Your Credit History And How It Affects You

Many people in the United Kingdom are not aware of the fact that companies and creditors have access to your entire credit report. This database can affect your life in many ways. If your Credit history/scoring and records is good it can work on your favour to gain all sorts of credit from banks, mortgage lenders, credit cards, store cards, and any other form of credit facilities. However, if your credit history/scoring are adverse it can work against you in really bad ways.
You can be turned down for application of credit cards, loans secured or unsecured in many instances, mortgages etc and most creditors will accept this recorded history/scoring as final answer to determine the outcome of your application.
Your credit data will in some way or another be affected if you default on your credit card payments or your mortgage is in arrears.

Credit Referencing and how it works?

To make it simple, creditors and banks out there can not know us all personally and therefore need more assistance. This is done by independent credit data companies such as Equifax Limited and Experian Limited. There are more data companies out there. Their job is to collect credit data about you and most creditors use there data to assess your suitability for credit. When you have an adverse record, it can show up in your search for years (as long as six years). Credit data companies like Equilfax Limited and Experian Limited holds other information about you too. They have your present residential address and also your previous residential address. Any adverse history is recorded through years including any default payments, arrears and county court judgement etc. They can even show who you are associated with.

Obtaining A Copy Of Your Credit Report.

You can obtain a copy of your personal report by paying a fee via their online application or by phone. Go to the following sites for more information on your credit file:

Sometimes credit data companies offer free reports for up to a period of 30 days.

Credit Repair

If you are regularly refused credit you can assume there is something registered against you. If entries are properly registered, they are normally very hard to be removed unless you do something to justify removing it. So for example if you have a county court judgement, you will have to try to sort it out before the credit data company is willing to amend the entries. After all these records are there for a reason, to alert creditors that you have problems repaying back etc.

Errors In Your Credit Record

It is possible for errors to be present in your credit file, if you find an error you can contact the relevant company and correct it. For example if you find incorrect entries, the credit company will normally need some form of evidence that it is an error. Most Credit data companies have free customer service and would give free advice on your credit file.

As Quick Sale Properties are property buyers, we can stop any further bad record being registered against you by offering you a quick sale of your property in order for any repossession to be stopped. Some adverse entries probably will exist but as least we can minimise this and give you the best chance to recover by repairing your credit file. This will ultimately give you an easier life in the world of credit.
